Collection: Jim Hall

The American Jim Hall (1930–2013) was a landmark jazz guitarist, known for his elegant and harmonically rich sound. He started with the Chico Hamilton Quintet and the Jimmy Giuffre Three in the '50s, and in the '60s he collaborated with leading artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sonny Rollins (The Bridge), Art Farmer, and Paul Desmond. Highlights of his career were two duet albums with Bill Evans and his collaboration with Pat Metheny in 1999. He recorded until the last years of his life, leaving a legacy of great works, such as Jim Hall & Basses.
