American Kenny Burrell (1931) is one of the most important jazz guitarists, with a style that combines bebop and blues. Raised in a musical family in Detroit, he was influenced by legends such as Charlie Christian & Django Reinhardt. In 1951 he recorded for the first time with Gillespie and Coltrane, and in 1956 his debut 'Introducing Kenny Burrell' was released. He collaborated with leading artists and created iconic albums, such as *Midnight Blue* (1963). From 1971 he developed educational activities, founding the Jazz program at UCLA. At the same time, he continued live performances and recordings, remaining a leading figure in jazz guitar.
